CLASS DESCRIPTIONS: Classes emphasize proper alignment and listening to your individual body. Classes integrate therapeutic and traditional hatha yoga postures and somatic movement practices to help reduce stress, decrease muscular tension, and manage chronic pain. All classes instructed by Gigi Heinz unless otherwise noted.

LEVEL 1 – a gentle, slower paced class that meets you where you are with whatever ability or limitations you experience within your body.

MIXED LEVEL – a moderate class, a step above level one, with options offered to either increase or decrease amount of difficulty based upon your abilities and limitations.

LEVEL 2 – an intermediate class, a step above mixed level, with more flow, additional strength practices, and balance challenges. Best to have a basic understanding of the postures.

YOGA SCULPT – plan to sweat! This is more of a strength training class then a yoga class, incorporates hatha yoga postures with resistance practices utilizing resistance bands, hand weights, exercise balls, etc. Lively & fun!

YOGA THERAPY – move more freely and reduce pain by learning to release and relax chronically tight muscles. Through somatic movement practices we will re-educate the contracted muscles, decrease and or eliminate habitual movements, and undue years of chronic tension and pain. Individual sessions are also available.

Strength Training, Level one – exercises designed to build muscular strength, improve flexibility, and balance. Focus on alignment and proper technique. Many exercises can be done seated or with support of chair as needed.Equipment provided. Class designed for those new to strength training or who have physical limitations.

YOGA for Full Figure Women: Yoga is for all shapes and sizes Practice yoga in a welcoming and supportive environment. This class is especially designed for larger women. Modifications offered to meet individual student’s needs and abilities.
